WHAT IT YIELDS FOR YOU
Your own electricity, even in the evening.
During the day, solar panels often generate more electricity than you consume. Without a battery, this surplus is fed back into the grid, and from 2027 onwards, the compensation you receive for this will be reduced. A home battery allows you to store your excess power for use in the evening.
We serve all of Scherpenzeel. You have also come to the right place if you are located in the neighbouring municipalities of Renswoude, Woudenberg, Barneveld, and Veenendaal.
Increased self-consumption
Consume a greater portion of your solar energy yourself, rather than feeding it back to the grid for a low return.
Greater energy independence
Reduced exposure to rising energy rates, feed-in charges (terugleverkosten), and expensive peak hours.
Ready for 2027
On 1 January 2027, the salderingsregeling (the Dutch net metering scheme) will come to an end. A battery system absorbs a significant portion of this loss.
YOUR GRID CONNECTION
Your grid connection in Scherpenzeel: Stedin (regional grid operator / netbeheerder)
In Scherpenzeel, Stedin is your netbeheerder (grid operator). Stedin operates as the netbeheerder in regions including the province of Utrecht and large parts of South Holland. Stedin manages the cables up to and including your meter; everything beyond that point is your own private installation. You do not need to apply for a permit for a home battery, but you must register it via energieleveren.nl, just like solar panels. If you require more electrical capacity—for instance, for an EV charging station or a heat pump—an upgraded grid connection may be necessary. You can request this directly from Stedin. We are happy to advise you on whether this is required.
