In Aalten, Liander is your netbeheerder (grid operator). Liander operates as the grid operator across large parts of North Holland, Gelderland, Flevoland, and South Holland. Liander is responsible for the infrastructure up to and including your electricity meter; everything beyond that point constitutes your own private installation. You do not need to apply for a permit for a home battery, but you must register it via energieleveren.nl, just as you would with solar panels. If you require higher capacity—for instance, for an EV charging station or a heat pump—an upgraded grid connection may be necessary. This can be requested directly from Liander. We are pleased to advise you on whether an upgrade is required.
