Home battery in Bunnik
In Bunnik, more and more households are choosing a home battery, especially now that the salderingsregeling (the Dutch net metering scheme) ends on 1 January 2027. We help you choose: which system fits your home, your energy consumption, and your grid connection?

WHAT IT YIELDS FOR YOU
Your own electricity, even in the evening.
During the day, solar panels often generate more electricity than you consume. Without a battery, this surplus is fed back into the grid, and from 2027 onwards, the compensation you receive for this will be reduced. A home battery allows you to store your excess power for use in the evening.
We serve the entire municipality of Bunnik: Bunnik, Odijk, and Werkhoven. You have also come to the right place if you are located in Houten, Zeist, Wijk bij Duurstede, or Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
Increased self-consumption
Consume a greater portion of your solar energy yourself, rather than feeding it back to the grid for a low return.
Greater energy independence
Reduced exposure to rising energy rates, feed-in charges (terugleverkosten), and expensive peak hours.
Ready for 2027
On 1 January 2027, the salderingsregeling (the Dutch net metering scheme) will come to an end. A battery system absorbs a significant portion of this loss.
YOUR GRID CONNECTION
Your grid connection in Bunnik: Stedin (netbeheerder, regional grid operator)
In Bunnik, Stedin is your netbeheerder (regional grid operator). Stedin operates as the netbeheerder in regions including the province of Utrecht and large parts of Zuid-Holland. Stedin is responsible for the cables up to and including your electricity meter; everything beyond that point forms part of your private electrical installation. You do not need to apply for a permit for a home battery, but you must register it via energieleveren.nl, just as you would with solar panels. If you require higher electrical capacity—for example, for an EV charging station or a heat pump—a higher-capacity grid connection may be necessary. You can request this upgrade directly from Stedin. We are pleased to advise you on whether this is required.
