YOUR GRID CONNECTION
Your connection in Nieuwkoop: Liander
In Nieuwkoop, Liander is your netbeheerder (regional grid operator). Liander operates the grid in large parts of North Holland, Gelderland, Flevoland, and South Holland. Liander is responsible for the cables up to and including your meter; everything downstream is part of your own private installation. You do not need to apply for a permit for a home battery, but you must register it via energieleveren.nl, just as you would with solar panels. If you require more capacity—for example, for an EV charging station or a heat pump—an upgraded grid connection may be necessary. This can be requested directly from Liander. We are happy to advise you on whether this is required.
