In Delft, Stedin is your netbeheerder (regional grid operator). Stedin serves as the netbeheerder across the province of Utrecht and large parts of Zuid-Holland, among other areas. Stedin manages the cables up to and including your electricity meter; everything beyond that point is your own private installation. You do not need to apply for permission to install a home battery, but you must register it via energieleveren.nl, just as you would with solar panels. If you require higher electrical capacity—for instance, for a charging station or a heat pump—an upgraded grid connection may be necessary. You can request this directly from Stedin. We can advise you on whether an upgrade is needed.
