In Heiloo, Liander is your netbeheerder (grid operator). Liander operates as the grid operator across large parts of North Holland, Gelderland, Flevoland, and South Holland. Liander manages the grid cables up to and including your electricity meter; everything beyond that point forms part of your private electrical installation. You do not need to apply for a permit for a home battery, but you must register it via energieleveren.nl, just as you would with solar panels. If you require higher electrical capacity—for example, for an EV charging station or a heat pump—an upgraded grid connection may be necessary. You can request this upgrade directly from Liander. We are happy to advise you on whether an upgrade is required.
